About three years ago a friend who knew how much I loved playing with flowers and creating beautiful arrangements, suggested I volunteer for Hospice of the Valley, Dove Petals program.
This amazing opportunity has been a blessing in so many ways! Each week I have the privilege of reviving flowers that can no longer be sold and are donated by Trader Joe's. Working beside another volunteer who I now refer to as "my flower friend" we create bright, happy, beautiful bouquets which are shared with the patients and their families.
It fills my heart with joy to know that these arrangements will lift the spirits of the patients and their families. Flowers bring joy, even in the darkest and most difficult times of life.
